Meet the Founder

Genny Quarfoot

Welcome to Duet, I look forward to working with you! I live here in sunny San Diego with my husband and 3 children. I, like you, have navigated my way through a vast array of personal and professional obstacles and transitions.

Into my early 30s, I practiced law as a civil and criminal litigator. This was incredibly taxing work in a stressful environment. During this period of my life is when I found true value in fitness. I consistently carved out time to meet with a personal trainer in an effort to relieve stress and find life balance.

I left private practice when I had my children. Raising 3 kids under the age of 4, the gym continued to be my happy place with that one glorious endorphin-filled, music-hyped hour to myself.

I so much appreciated what fitness could do for both my physical and mental health that I decided to become a NASM certified personal trainer. Over the next decade, I provided private in-home training, taught reformer Pilates and coached group classes at Orangetheory Fitness.

In order to expand upon these fitness services, I became a certified Life Coach through CLCI so I could empower people outside of the studio as well. As a dually-trained coach, I provide a space of motivation, mentorship, confidentiality and accountability.

Now my goal is to combine the best of both worlds. The rush you get from a great workout creates a space of openness and positivity to discuss life in a meaningful way.  This method promises to be both efficient and impactful.
